SEEING 2019: THE EXPERIENCE TO GO BEYOND MENTAL SPECULATION

The Conference Exhibition organized by Progecta at the end of November relaunches the theme of Knowing How to do and calls ten testimonials who will explain how to create without altering the environment. Among them the writer De Giovanni, Rino Zurzolo and Gianfranco Gallo
Napoli, 29 October 2019 – ARKEDA starts again from experience, that is, knowing how to do it: This will be the main theme of the seventh edition of the Architecture Conference Exhibition, building, design & furniture which will take place at the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples from Friday 29 November to Sunday 1 December.
After six years of work on an in-depth study on the criticism of Architecture and Design, on technological innovation, on the research of materials that led visitors to explore the works of the great masters, delve deeper into the importance and centrality of the project, search for utopia and decline the Vitruvian Triad, for the edition 2019 ARKEDA arrives chooses to reclaim the material dimension over mental speculation, to then be able to start again from a more aware base and move towards new speculative goals. The experience of technicians will take to the field, artisans and researchers, their practical knowledge and the meeting will be transformed into in-depth workshops on the construction and application techniques of products and new technologies.

THE NEW KNOW-HOW WORKSHOPS

They will be divided into four thematic areas inspired by 4 primary elements of the universe: Aria, Water, Earth and Fire from which everything originates. The Four Workshops will lead architects on a journey through 4 elements to discover the products that derive from each of them.
To interpret the know-how, Ten characters will also arrive at ARKEDA, invited by the architect Antonella Venezia, holder, with his brother Luigi, of the VENEZIATRE architects associated studio, engaged not only in the work of an architect, but in design and, in particular, in goldsmith design.
“When I was asked to collaborate on the Arkeda edition 2019 proposing a shortlist of designers I accepted with enthusiasm, as communication is an aspect of my profession that particularly fascinates me – explains the architect Venezia – The main theme of the event is "Knowing how to do", where we mean knowing how to respect the environment around us, without altering its balance. I decided to invite ten characters, of different preparation, not just cultural, but working and thinking. I gave a transversal cut by inviting someone to redesign the headboard of the aforementioned bed, with a phrase, a composition in verse or music, a technical or artistic drawing, managed to summarize the underlying theme. They accepted, even those who are distant from the plan".
The ten characters who will be at ARKEDA 2019 at the invitation of the architect Venezia I am the writer Maurizio De Giovanni, the musician Rino Zurzolo, the actor Gianfranco Gallo, the astronomer Massimo Della Valle, the artist Sergio Fermariello, the restorer Barbara Bizzarro, Professor Roberto Liberti, the designers Elena Vida and Stefania Ricci and the architect Marco Maria Tagliaferri.

NAPLES CAPITAL OF MEDITERRANEAN DESIGN

The seventh edition of ARKEDA will take place from Friday 29 November to Sunday 1 December in the pavilions 5 e 6 of the Mostra d'Oltremare of Naples. The event organized by Progecta is the only event dedicated to Architecture, to Furnishings, to Design and Construction which takes place in the central south and is certainly the most important in the Mediterranean area. SEEING 2019 enjoys the patronage of the National Council of Architects, of the Orders of Architects, of the Engineers, of University Designer Associations. To guarantee the high profile of the event, it includes numerous refresher courses with the release of training credits and a series of debates and workshops dedicated to professionals.
