Arkeda rewards architects who choose to stay in the South – Prologue of the event focused on the relationship between design and architecture and nature
Napoli, 23 November – There will be four speakers in Friday's prologue 2 December, opening day of the ninth edition of Arkeda scheduled at the Mostra d'Oltremare in Naples until Sunday 4 December, they will develop the theme on the new relationship that must be established between design and architecture and nature.
In particular, Professor Massimo Pica Ciamarra and architect Nicola Di Battista will examine the relationship between architecture and nature, while the architects Giulio Iacchetti and Pino Pasquali will examine industrial production and design which must increasingly refer to the values of sustainability and ecology. For everyone, the common denominator of quality will be the essential component of the profession and work of the architect of the future. Universal sustainability, starting with small choices to guide big changes, it is the only shared and viable solution for sustainable development and architects are the protagonists of this path.
All architects are involved in this DNA construction process, each for his part of competence, and together with sociologists, anthropology, researchers can make the choices necessary to guide future coexistence towards sustainable and desirable systems. Quality will be the common denominator of this evolution, in fact only quality production can be sustainable, together with an educated and conscious use of consumption.
Arkeda will also be the occasion in which the president of the delegation Adi Campania, Andrea Jandoli, together with the president of Progecta, will award three architects who have been noted but not winners of the national ADI Compasso d'Oro as a reward for their effort to be minds from the south who remain in the south.
