Marc Sadler

French born in Austria, he lived and practiced as a designer in France, United States, Asia and Italy. One of the first graduates in “industrial aesthetic” at ENSAD in Paris with a thesis on plastic materials, he was a pioneer in the experimentation of materials and the contamination between technologies, have become distinctive aspects of its activity.
At the beginning of the 1970s he developed the first ski boot made of entirely recyclable thermoplastic material, then industrialized by the Italian Caber. It is the origin of his specialization in sports design which leads him to work with the most important multinationals in the sector throughout the world.
Coming from a branch of industry where research and experimentation with new materials and production processes is widespread, it allows him to export knowledge to worlds where the concept of design limited to aesthetic form is rooted. Eclectic designer and citizen of the world, He is now a consultant to companies in every industry sector.
4 times winner of the Compasso d'Oro (1994, 2001, 2008 e 2014), 1 Honorable Mention (1998) e 2 Selections (1994 e 2008) of the ADI Industrial Design Association, his work has been awarded many other international awards over the years. His back protector designed for Dainese is in the permanent design collection of the MOMA in New York and the Mite by Foscarini is part of the design collection of the Beaubourg in Paris.
